Integrating Thynk with Opera PMS enables bi-directional synchronization of guest profiles, room availability, rate codes, and group booking details between the commercial platform and property management system. The integration uses Opera's OPERA Web Services (OWS) APIs to automatically sync room blocks, update inventory, and push confirmed bookings from Thynk into Opera without manual data entry.
How to Integrate Thynk with Oracle Opera PMS
Connect your Thynk hospitality commercial platform with Oracle Opera PMS for seamless data synchronization, automated guest profile updates, and unified property management workflows.
Integration Benefits
- • Automatic sync of guest reservations and profiles
- • Real-time room inventory and availability updates
- • Bidirectional data flow between Opera PMS and Thynk CRM
- • Elimination of manual data entry and duplicate records
Step 1: Access Thynk Integration Settings
Log into your Thynk account with admin credentials. Navigate to Settings from the main dashboard, then select Integrations from the left sidebar menu.
In the integrations marketplace, locate Oracle Opera PMS and click Connect. This opens the integration configuration wizard.
Step 2: Configure Opera PMS API Credentials
You'll need three key credentials from your Opera PMS system:
- API Endpoint URL: Your Opera Cloud API base URL (e.g., https://your-property.opera.oracle.com/api)
- Client ID: Provided by Oracle or your Opera administrator
- Authentication Token: OAuth 2.0 token or API key for secure access
Enter these credentials in the Thynk integration form and click Validate Connection to test authentication.
Step 3: Map Property Data Fields
Use the field mapping interface to connect Opera PMS data fields with Thynk objects. Key mappings include:
- Guest Profiles: Map Opera guest records to Thynk contact records (name, email, phone, preferences)
- Reservations: Map Opera reservation data to Thynk opportunities (check-in/out dates, room type, rate)
- Room Inventory: Sync room availability and block information
- Billing: Connect Opera billing records with Thynk revenue tracking
Review the default mapping suggestions and customize as needed for your property's workflows.
Step 4: Set Synchronization Preferences
Configure how and when data syncs between systems:
- Sync Frequency: Choose real-time (instant), hourly, or daily synchronization
- Data Types: Select which objects to sync (reservations, profiles, room blocks, billing)
- Sync Direction: Enable bidirectional sync to push Thynk updates back to Opera PMS
- Conflict Resolution: Define which system takes precedence when data conflicts occur
Step 5: Test the Integration
Before activating live sync, run a test to validate the connection:
- Click Run Test Sync in the integration dashboard
- Select a sample of recent reservations from Opera PMS
- Verify that guest profiles appear correctly in Thynk with accurate field mapping
- Check that reservation dates, room types, and rates match Opera PMS data
- Test bidirectional sync by updating a Thynk record and confirming it updates in Opera
Review the test results and make adjustments to field mapping or sync settings if needed.
Step 6: Activate Live Sync
Once testing confirms accurate data flow, activate the live integration:
- Click Activate Integration in the Thynk dashboard
- Monitor the initial full sync as historical data imports from Opera PMS
- Verify data accuracy in both Thynk and Opera PMS systems
- Set up alerts for sync failures or data conflicts
- Train your team on the new integrated workflow
